On Wednesday, July 8th, American Public University System, an accredited higher-education institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees online, hosted hundreds of prospective students in a cutting-edge virtual environment. In an increasingly competitive and global marketplace for skilled workers, online education is becoming an efficient and popular way for people to build credentials, switch careers or qualify for a new job. At APU’s EduFair, the first-ever virtual university admissions event, students discussed academic and career plans with faculty, explored financial aid options and transfer credits with admissions representatives, and accessed a library of rich media aimed at helping them take the next step in their education. This innovative event created a live forum for perspective students to meet the right APU people, gather relevant information and get a feel for the e-campus and virtual classroom.
AI worked closely with APUS's marketing department to help make the event a success.
The "edufair" is still available on-demand through September—we invite you to take a look around, and please forward the link along if you know someone considering going back to school. APU focuses on high-value, career-relevant programs offering 74 degree programs and 48 certificate programs in fields ranging from military studies, intelligence and criminal justice to business administration, public health and liberal arts.
